Eudaimonic Pronunciation
Eudaimonic Pronunciation Gordian Knot Blogs Being deaf in one ear I often times need to learn to pronounce words correctly. As a child having lost my hearing from someone lifting me up by my ear, I (at a very young age) studied the dictionary. Mostly to learn to pronounce words, I have yet to find a site that will display the Phonetic pronunciation symbol characters in its description ie., "Long e, schwa sounds etc. Anyone know a site that displays the pronunciation breakdown? At about five (5) years of age I requested my sister described to me correctly what sound the symbols above certain letters made the word sound like because I was determined to stop receiving ridicule for speaking wrong; thus being called retarded, and stupid etc., I greatly appreciate anyone who can direct me to such a sound indicator as being deaf just hearing the sounds does not prove beneficial.
